The Ghana National Weightlifting Association has named its five representatives for the 2019 African Games to be held in Morocco.
The squad consists of four male and one female who will be competing in different weight categories in the competition.
Known as the ‘Black Cranes’ the squad is highly tipped to be one of the main disciplines to earn the nation some medals at the 2019 African Games which kickstarts from August 19- September 1.

2.Forrester Osei – 96kg
3.Jeremiah Benye – 61kg
4.David Akwei – 81kg
FEMALE
5.Winifred Ntumi -45kg
Weightlifting is part of the 14 sporting disciplines that will represent Ghana at the 2019 African Games.
The rest are athletics, badminton, beach volley, boxing, cycling, fencing, football, Judo, karate-do, swimming, taekwondo, table tennis, and tennis.
