The Ghana Rugby Football Union as part of yesterday’s World Earth Day, held a number of activities to commemorate the day.
The day was celebrated under the theme, “It is our collective and individual responsibility to preserve and tend to the world in which we all live”, by Dalai Lama.
Activities held on the day included a cleanup exercise at their training grounds at the Aquinas School park.
The Union also engaged in a coaching clinic, fun games between the U15 boys and girls 7s as well as the Babarian men 7s.
Under the able leadership of it’s president, Herbert Mensah, the sport is gradually and steadily picking up in Ghana with most of the youth embracing it.
The Ghana Rugby Football Union is the only sporting association in Ghana that celebrated the international World Earth Day.
