The national rugby sevens men and women’s team, winners of the West African zone of the Rugby 7s Pre-World Cup qualifiers, have presented their trophies to the leadership of Interplast Ghana. It was to say thank you for their support in hosting and winning the tournament.
The visit to Interplast Ghana, by members of the gallant national 7s men and women’s team, winners of the West Africa Zone of the Rugby Pre-World Cup qualifiers was to among others to express their heartfelt gratitude to the leadership for their consistent support to the growth of rugby in the country.
Since 2014 Interplast Ghana has been supporting Ghana rugby both in cash and kind.
As a sign of appreciation, the leadership of Interplast Ghana donated an undisclosed amount of money to the gallant men’s and women’s 7s teams. The CEO of Interplast Ghana, Mr. Haysam Fakhry, charged the team to continue to soar higher.
The President and Board Chairman of Ghana Rugby Union Mr. Herbert Mensah said that the support by Mr. Fakhry and Interplast helped Ghana Rugby to amass a series of memorable achievements since his administration took over in June of 2014.
Ghana and Burkina Faso Men’s 7sTeams have both secured their qualification to next year’s event along with Ghana’s Women’s 7s Team after they conquered all at the Rugby 7s Pre-World Cup qualifiers held at the Paa Joe stadium inside KNUST Kumasi.
