Raja Owusu-Ansah has been voted as the new president of the Ghana Kickboxing Association, an action that was determined at their official congress held this afternoon at the media center of the Accra sports stadium.
The congress was characterized by a series of unopposed candidature from all the aspirants who filed their nominations for the various positions in the association.
Mr. Raja Owusu0-Ansah who won the presidential position went unopposed after his competitor Nii Joseph Adotey Mingle chickened out at the last hour.
Abdul Razak Yakubu won the vice president position also went unopposed after his competitor Emmanuel Yoofi Boham also withdrew from the elections an hour to the start of the program.
Samuel Nii Aryeetey Mensah also went unopposed for the position of the association’s Treasurer.
Congress then unanimously voted Ebenezer Acheampong, Isaac Aikins, Stephen Akrang and Kofi Taylor as Executives of the Association for the next four years.
At the Congress was the acting Head of Technical of the National Sports Authority Mr. Abedu Wilson, who chaired the occasion.
