Mr. Charles Osei Asibey (President of Ghana Armwrestling Federation who doubles as the General Secretary of SWAG) has filed his nomination to contest in the upcoming Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) elections.

About Charles Osei Asibey

Charles Osei Asibey is a broadcast journalist with over 25 years of working experience in the industry having worked with Radio Gold, Groove FM now Adom FM, Peace FM, Happy FM, Radio 360, and Asempa FM having contributed writing for Graphic Sports, Ghanaweb, and other online portals.

Charles, the only to have worked with the top 3 broadcast media organizations in Ghana, grew from a presenter to become the General Manager of Happy FM and later the Chief Executive officer of EMG Multimedia.

As a marketing consultant, event manager, and corporate speaker Charles has traveled the length and breadth of Ghana and the globe at large covering major events including the Fifa World Cups, World Title Boxing, and other international Games.

Charles Osei Asibey has won several awards including Radio Sports Show of the Year in Ghana with Peace FM and Happy FM, CIMG Radio Program of the Year with Happy FM, Federation President of the Year by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Sports Administrator of the Year in the USA by 3G Media, Honorary Award by the Kings Foundation and many many more awards from credible institutions and organizations.

Currently, the founder and President of Ghana Armwrestling Federation, Charles Osei Asibey doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Legaci101 Limited, a sports marketing, and event company, United Media Consult, a PR and Media Management company and 3C Ventures Ltd, a company responsible for General Services.

Charles is the General Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, Deputy General Secretary for Africa Armwrestling Federation, former Communications Director of the Ghana Olympic Committee, and has served on the board of several sports Federations.
