Accra Hearts of Oak registered their first win of the season when they beat visiting Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Two set pieces by attackers Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi in the 29th and 56th minutes, respectively, gave the Phobia fans something to smile about and a vital three points after two successive losses.

Dwarfs grew into the game and made good use of the flanks as they wore Hearts down. In the 69th minute, substitute attacker Albert Ato Hammond was released in the Hearts area with only the goalkeeper to beat after splitting the Hearts defense open.

He side-footed a low drive past an advancing Richard Atta for a consolation.

There were chaotic scenes at the Baba Yaya stadium after the game between Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea as the home fans wanted to assault the match officials for what they believed to be unfair officiating, an action that led to their loss a goal scored by Kofi Owusu.

At the Dansoman park on  Saturday, Liberty Professionals drew 1-1 with SC Medeama. Elvis Kyie Baffour scored from the spot for Liberty before Nana Kofi Nabil drew parity to steal a point from the game.

At the Dormaa park, Yahya Mohammed stretched his goal tally to 5 as he hit a brace for Aduana Stars in their 2-1 win over King Faisal who are yet to win a match.

Great Olympics suffered yet another loss, their third in a row after losing 1-0 to Bechem United in match week three. Prince Adu’s goal sealed the win.

At the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Mark Agyekum and Emmanuel Owusu scored both goals as Ashantigold beat Techiman XI Wonders 2-0.

At the Akoon park inside Tarkwa, Karela United beat Inter Allies 2-1. Franklin Osei and Ofosu Abega scored both goals for the home team, whilst Victorien Adebayor recorded a consolation for Allies.

Dreams FC were held to a goalless drawn game by Legon Cities at the Dawu Park. The game between Sharks and WAFA also ended goalless.
